Below are the testimonials for Ian Johnston and i2i Technical Services:

..I thought I’d just drop you a little note to say how much of a pleasure it was to work with you all.

I’ve rarely had so many laughs in the face of adversity as I did in organising the conference, and it was largely due to your professionalism, energy and SENSE OF HUMOUR!

I hope this won’t be Adieu, but rather Au Revoir, and that our paths will meet again soon. In any case, I shall be calling Ian - are you listening Ian?! - to start doing some recording work with him, so I shall still be in touch when I’m back in London.

Take care of yourselves and keep on smiling!

Catherine Rushton - International Events Manager BT Europe.

I wish to thank Ian Johnston and Sharon Gregory for their outstanding professionalism and support to the Blyth team during two rather hectic weeks. Not only did they work extremely hard but they did it with a smile. Their advice to the Blyth team was valued and I’m sure we have all benefited for the future.........I very much hope that we will have the opportunity to work with Motivational Meetings again in the not too distant future.

Debbie Charman - International Marketing Manager Blyth Software Limited

Just a quick note to thank you for putting on a really very smooth show for us at Ascot.

On the day everything appeared to progress without a hitch, always wonderful news, but given the very tight deadlines we were working to, even more remarkable.

I have been involved in the production of many similar events in the past and I can honestly say that this was the first time that I've enjoyed the luxury of leaving before the middle of the night on the day prior to the event - thank you for that.

Jane Berry, Marketing - Communications Manager Europe ICL Retail Systems

I am writing to thank you for the tremendous support you gave in preparing the presentation which we gave our employees. Once again as with the presentation you so ably developed in June, we were able to demonstrate a very high degree of professionalism.

A difficult and complex message was communicated in such a way that not only did everyone understand it - they were also motivated as a result. Should a need arise at any time in the future requiring a very professional presentation then I shall have no hesitation in contacting you.

Roger Brooks - Special Projects Manager Argos Distributors Ltd.

I have worked with Ian on many occasions - he is without doubt, the best conference producer I have worked with - and boy, have I worked with a lot of them! His organisational ability, his level of understanding of the needs of clients, performers and crew is remarkable - and he always delivers.

Roy Sheppard Interviewer/facilitator

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you formally for your involvement in our very successful Workshop Meeting in Blackpool.

I think you are already aware that we found both 'Charlie' and the business game extremely successful in achieving our overall objectives for this conference.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with you. Thanks for all your help and co-operation both prior and during our conference.

Graham Ferguson - Advertising Manager Ciba Pharmaceuticals

We were most impressed by the professionalism, the attention to detail and the fact that nothing seemed too much trouble. As far as we could see, Ian just didn’t sleep during the conference. Our objectives were achieved with a bonus....It was brilliant!

John Dunsford - Marketing Director Ibstock Building Products Ltd.

Once again I have to thank you for the excellent work done to make our Sales Meeting so successful.

It has taken me a couple of days to recover, but I have been helped by the kind remarks on the format I chose(!). It was a winning combination - Keith in front and Ian master-minding behind - a pleasure to work with them. The format also put much less strain on the Ibstock participants.

John Dunsford - Marketing Director Ibstock Building Products Ltd.

As you’re most certainly aware, the Friday meeting at the Trade Fair was one of the single most important functions of the Fair. Weaving the messages from 23 distinctly different speakers into one smooth presentation was no mean feat.

I know that none of the audience fully appreciated the enormity of the behind-the-scenes audio/visual efforts required for the day, but then, isn’t that exactly what you strive to achieve? Rest assured that Steve and I know what a wonderful job you did, and we appreciate it very much.

Nancy Christopherson Illinois Tool Works Inc.

Our original objective was to communicate, inform and motivate through a well structured and presented show, and in every instance you met the brief exactly.

As importantly, the brief did change and evolve and we are grateful for the diligence on your part to meet budget.

Simon Moate - Group Marketing Manager Provend Services Ltd.

Thank you once again for your kind words of support and enthusiasm. You are great fun to work with and produced a highly professional and motivational meeting - congratulations!

Leslie P. Bone Amersham Medi+physics - Illinois.

It as been my pleasure to work with Ian Johnston on a variety of projects since we first met in April 1992. In that time I have recognised and benefited from his many strengths, which in my estimation include:

Reliability: Ian has never let me down - indeed he usually exceeds expectations - when he makes a commitment, he does so having considered the necessary facts and then lives to his commitments. I can think of no one in whom I would put greater trust to keep their word.

Honesty: Ian has always been totally honest with me, when giving his opinion or taking responsibility for things that have not gone quite right (Yes he is human and can make the occasional mistake).

Honourable: Ian demonstrates a very high integrity to those with whom he is working, both colleagues and customers alike, his loyalty is beyond question.

Able to take a brief: Other than his character strengths, Ian also has many skills which have helped him to be a very effective colleague. He is excellent at understanding the need, by asking clear, concise and intelligent questions; he can then summarise the discussion and most important is well able to communicate the critical information to others.

Creativity: If anyone can create a silk purse from a sow’s ear, it will be Ian. His creativity in production situations has constantly amazed me and during the last few months as we have been working on the development of some experiential learning events, I have sat in awe on many occasions.

Sense of humour: It is dry, very fine and should sometimes be served chilled. In the midst of a crisis you can always rely on Ian to bring back a sense of reality with a witty aside or casual remark - and like all good humorists, much of it is aimed at himself.

Commitment: You have to see it to believe it. I have seen Ian arrive on-site at 3 p.m. on a Sunday, stay up all night and work through the whole of the next day and half of the following night, just to make sure that everything went brilliantly - and still get up at 4:30 a.m. on the Tuesday just to make sure that his team caught their plane safely!

Following the Unysis and 3Com conferences in Barcelona. I wanted to write and express my admiration for the way i2i (in partnership with Montage Projects) approach and organise corporate events such as these.

After a decade working in entertainment design, those two shows proved to be amongst the most enjoyable in terms of the camaraderie throughout the whole crew – and not as a result of adversity. The events were extremely well planned, well managed, well crewed and thoroughly entertaining.

It is all too seldom that the opinions of the creative team are heard with such respect and the welfare of the show crew so well catered for, I would like to express my congratulations and gratitude to you for a job very well done!

On a personal note, the management games that you and your talented team, design and compile are always superbly run and constantly relevant. Here's to wishing we meet up again soon.

Joe Atkins - lighting Designer (and fan)

May I thank you very much for producing such a fantastic event for us.

BA are delighted. Mike Street has been hugely impressed by how relevant the event has been for his messages. It has worked beautifully to kick start our communications programme with Operations.

I must say, I don't think I've ever sold something so important without ever having seen it before! Yet your help in clearly explaining it to me and in simply exuding professionalism was all I needed to confidently assert that Bridging the Gap was just what Operations needed.

The conditions have been very taxing (a building site must rank as a major challenge for this sort of event) yet you and your team did not flinch or falter. I've never experienced such a smooth running of 3 days for what is a complex and complicated programme. Your facilitators were not only extremely professional but also great fun and very enthusiastic.

Bridging the Gap is an extremely clever game which achieves its purpose very subtly. I think it is a quantum leap in event theory and I very much look forward to using it (and other of your events) with my other clients.

Simon Torrance - Newell & Sorrell Limited

“….it was also pleasant to have a light workload today, as it allowed me to “sit back “ and observe you in action for the first time in a long time. It is a joy to watch you running a team, you make it seem so easy, especially considering the fact that you have not worked with them before.

You give clear, concise but polite instructions and involve the team in the decision making process – leadership par excellence.”
